1. It's a game
Hauntcam is an entertainment app: a horror and prank game. It does not detect, measure or communicate with ghosts, spirits or anything paranormal. All phantoms, replies, sounds and effects are generated for fun and are fictional.
2. Using Hauntcam responsibly
- Only prank people in person, who you know, and who will be okay once the reveal comes. Stop immediately if someone is genuinely distressed. Use the "Lights On" button at any time.
- Do not use Hauntcam to frighten anyone with a heart condition, anxiety disorder, photosensitive epilepsy or similar condition, or young children.
- Do not enter sensitive information about anyone (health, deceased relatives, addresses, phone numbers or similar). The app blocks many such inputs, but you are responsible for what you enter.
- Get consent before sharing a recording of someone else.
- Do not attempt to misuse, reverse engineer, overload or bypass the limits of our service.
3. AI-generated content
Spirit replies and prank scripts are generated by AI and filtered for safety, but they may occasionally be odd or inappropriate. Please use "Report this response" so we can fix it. Do not rely on any reply as real advice or information.
4. Subscriptions
Hauntcam Pro is an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your App Store account settings. Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends. Refunds are handled by Apple.
5. Licence
Your use of the app is also governed by Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. We may update or discontinue features at any time.
6. Disclaimer and liability
The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for how you or others react to a prank. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law.
